Swing State Voters Reject Kamala’s Reparations Plans
Battleground citizens refuse to be punished for sins they did not commit…
Brand new polling out of North Carolina reveals that Trump remains in command of this key swing state with a +3% lead in the American Greatness/TIPP poll that was taken after the ABC News presidential debate between Donald Trump and Kamala Harris.
The survey questioned over 1000 voters, and sampled more Democrat than Republican likely voters in the Tar Heel state. It found that Kamala Harris had, indeed, won that ABC debate, by a 54-32% margin among those who watched the showdown. But, that debate night performance did not translate into votes for Harris.
Moreover, on the key issues, Trump continues to dominate, especially on the economy and immigration, which remain the top two issues for voters, by a big margin.
Another key issue lurks as a serious vulnerability for Harris: race-based reparations.
Though North Carolina is a swing-state that leans slightly red, some liberal enclaves within the state actively pursue reparations programs right now, taking money from Hispanic, Asian, and white citizens to give to black citizens, for slavery and injustices that were committed before any of them were even born. The city council of Asheville, NC recently approved such a ludicrous and unjust confiscation and transfer.
Per this latest poll, only 34% of North Carolinians support reparations.
Among seniors, who typically turnout heavily to vote, only 18% support such divisive race-based payments, with only 9% strongly supporting and a whopping 62% strongly opposing them. Perhaps not surprisingly, this agenda is unpopular with those who will make the payments, rather than receive them, so only 20% of North Carolina white voters approve of reparations.
Despite this intense unpopularity, Kamala Harris has repeatedly voiced strong support for reparations. As a senator, she co-sponsored legislation to create a reparations commission to study a race-based equity agenda, including direct payments to black Americans.
Perhaps even worse, as vice-president, Harris actually demanded that storm relief for Americans hit by natural disasters be prioritized based on race! When Florida was hit by Hurricane Ian in 2022, Kamala Harris directed that “communities of color” be first in line for aid and that assistance should be prioritized “in a way that is about giving resources based on equity.”
So, even during a crisis, a hurricane that does not discriminate in its damage, Harris reverted to her natural divisiveness that only sees the world through the narrow prism of racial politics.
Of course, if she had any grasp of history or any love for the past progress of our great country, she would understand that reparations for slavery were indeed already paid, and to a momentous degree.
As a wrote about this issue in Real Clear Politics in 2019:
“But in point of fact, our country already paid reparations mightily, waging a devastating war to end the evil of slavery. The reparations were paid with the lives of well over 300,000 Union soldiers, men who died to reunite our nation and abolish human bondage on these shores. In fact, the Civil War was so brutal that the total loss of life equates to over 7 million dead in today’s population terms.
Those radicals rude enough to demand additional reparations should visit Gettysburg National Cemetery, where over 3,500 Union soldiers lay for eternity, their young lives sacrificed for a great cause that led to the elimination of slavery in our land. Reparations were indeed paid, not just by those brave men but by the widows and orphans they left behind.”
So, let’s bury this divisive and Marxist idea of race-based reparations. One key step toward that goal is defeating Harris — and she is super vulnerable on this issue.

Nice piece, Steve.
A couple of observations:
(1) Trump was plain dumb to debate on ABC. He can't make any more mistakes like that between now and November 5th.
(2) There is no way on earth that a bill or an executive order on reparations would get past the United States Supreme Court. It's actually hard to count how many different provisions it would violate.
A truly superb conversation between a couple of our best public intellectuals, John Mearsheimer and Jeffrey Sachs. Both are well known and respected not only here but globally. Just watch the beginning intro by Lex Fridman and you’ll be hooked on watching it all. Same with Glenn Greenwald who has an excellent video below about Victoria Nuland, one of the many dreadful creatures in our ruling class. These three are examples of the fact that we have the best quality people by far on our side which is our greatest advantage against the democrats and their media. Save these and share with others.
