America First John Gibbs Over Globalist Peter Meijer
Time to replace Pelosi's pal with an America First fighter
The recent massive military aid package to Ukraine exemplifies the Washington Establishment’s total willful neglect to prioritize what matters to the everyday citizens of America. The United States right now confronts several created crises, right here at home. From soaring inflation to spiking crime, the Biden agenda has inflicted material pain upon our country in just over a year in office. In addition, the United States does indeed face an existential border sovereignty crisis, but it teems on our own Southern border, not one 6,000 miles away in eastern Ukraine.
Tragically, far too many establishment Republicans gladly join in with Biden’s destructive agenda, and they need to be replaced in upcoming 2022 primaries. One such collaborator culprit is Representative Peter Meijer of Michigan.
Meijer voted to impeach President Donald Trump in January 2021, one of only ten House Republicans who forced a farcical kangaroo court trial upon America. In casting his lot with Liz Cheney and Adam Kinzinger, Meijer revealed himself as a dutiful subservient to the Beltway establishment, a stooge of lobbyists and a stealth bestie of Nancy Pelosi.
More recently, Meijer once again joined forces with the Swamp Establishment to authorize the $40 billion boondoggle fund to massively escalate the war in Ukraine. Once again, Meijer voted with Pelosi and Cheney and against real America First stalwarts like Jim Jordan and Michigan’s Bill Huizenga. To put that amount in perspective, $40 billion equals the annual budget of the entire state of Illinois, and about 70% of the budget of Meijer’s home state of Michigan.
Nevertheless, Meijer voted for America to borrow that gargantuan amount of money to be spent on a regional battle across the world. Meijer and Pelosi clamor to pour US resources into a battle between highly corrupt countries that involves no vital US national security interest. Concurrently, Americans citizens here at home suffer the ravages of soaring inflation and a very real border crisis. These domestic crises explain why Americans’ confidence plunges. This weekend’s NBC poll revealed a paltry 16% of citizens believe the country is on the right track.
Consequently, instead of massively escalating a standoff with a nuclear-armed Russia, Meijer’s America First challenger, President Trump-endorsed John Gibbs promotes a US foreign policy of realism and restraint. In a recent interview, Gibbs correctly observed that “Ukraine and Russia are two of the most corrupt countries” and that this kind of Congressional largesse “makes your blood boil. People here in Michigan don’t like it.” Gibbs continued: “Peter Meijer, my opponent, is at the forefront of a globalist movement which no longer cares about representing the people.”
Unlike Meijer, John Gibbs boldly proclaims the America First agenda marked by restraint abroad and an insistence on strong borders and migration controls here at home. Gibbs earned the trust of President Trump as a top aide to Secretary Ben Carson at the Department of Housing and Urban Development. Dr. Carson, a native son of Michigan, joined President Trump in an enthusiastic endorsement to defeat the political class lackey Peter Meijer in the primary for the Michigan Third Congressional District.
Gibbs has both the biography and outlook to effectively represent the citizens of Michigan-03 and stand firm against the DC administrative state that depends on the constant surrender posture of sellouts like Peter Meijer. Gibbs represents a terrific American success story, earning degrees from Stanford and Harvard before working for the top technology firms in America. He also served as a Christian missionary to Japan and became fluent in Japanese.
Though Gibbs understands the inner workings of the ruling class at the highest levels, he maintains the passion and worldview of a renegade outsider, a MAGA warrior who will go to Washington to makes waves, rather than to ride with the comfortable current of Beltway accomplices.
As the good citizens of Western Michigan learn about John -- and his smarts and guts -- they rally to his cause. In fact, an Impact Research poll at the beginning of the 2022 race showed that Meijer had less than 30% support among Republican voters in the District, a shockingly low number for any incumbent. Clearly, the GOP rank and file are not happy with the DC globalism of Peter Meijer. Even more importantly, when those same voters are informed of President Trump’s endorsement of Gibbs, then Meijer plunges to only 19% support, with Gibbs leading the field materially at 37%.
Meijer stands for the mistakes of past decades, especially endless wars and globalist follies that cost America dearly in blood and treasure. John Gibbs embraces an entirely new vision of American greatness that focuses here at home. Gibbs is precisely the kind of young, dynamic, diverse voice the America First movement needs to save our country.
Good luck to Gibbs, but the globalist insanity is so entrenched in Washington I despair anything can be done.
