Media Grandstanding on Immigration Meets Reality
Polling strongly backs Trump’s America First prioritization of US citizens…
President Trump began his historic second term with a flurry of executive orders, at least 7 of which deal with the border crisis and the collapse of immigration enforcement under Joe Biden.
For example, Trump suspended the use of the CBP One app, which has been leveraged by hundreds of thousands of migrants to pour into America while avoiding some of the more chaotic scenes of “border bull rushes” from the earlier days of the Biden presidency. Of course, this Biden app did nothing to protect the safety and sovereignty of the citizens of America – it was merely a technology veneer to make the optics of the mass trespassing more orderly.
Now, the corporate media recoils in horror at Trump’s early immigration enforcement actions, including a move to end widespread abuses of birthright citizenship. That illogical legal precedent misinterprets the Constitution and grants automatic citizenship even to the children of illegals who arrive in America expressly for the purpose of giving birth within our boundaries.
Regarding the migrant app, reporters from the Jeff Bezos Washington Post promoted footage of crying foreigners who will now have to follow regular procedures to apply for American citizenship, rather than the Biden fast-track via a smart phone. Though the emotional reaction of the foreign migrants was heavily propagandized by the corporate media, these pretend journalists fight a losing battle in opposing Trump’s common sense immigration enforcement initiatives.
As proven by polling, the American people have had enough of the open borders madness of the Biden era, and demand a return to securing American sovereignty. As America works to recover from the Biden era of runaway inflation and unsafe cities, patriotic citizens clearly demand a return to prioritizing the wages of American citizens and ensuring security through law-and-order regarding immigration.
For instance, by a big +18% margin, Americans support President Trump’s plans for mass deportations, 55-37%. Among Hispanics, by a +6% margin, those patriotic citizens also support mass deportations.
These majorities responded as part of my latest “2025 Outlook” survey, conducted by top polling firm TIPP Insights. This survey sampled a national group of over 1,500 voters who split Trump +1% over Harris, right in line with the countrywide popular vote.
On related immigration questions, these voters showed similar support for President Trump’s law-and-order approach. For example, by a wide +23% margin, voters agreed with the statement that “America brings in too many foreign laborers to work in the country,” 57-34%. Among middle-income citizens who make $50-75,000 annually, that spread is even wider, with a 60-30% margin agreeing that we import too many foreign workers.
Outside of the economic threats of an open border, Americans also understandably worry about the national security issues of porous migration controls. In the wake of the horrible New Year’s attack on New Orleans, a stunning 79% of Americans say they are “concerned about the state of national security in the United States.”
Even though that assailant himself was American-born, his Islamist, hateful ideology was clearly imported into America. Consequently, after years of open borders, a whopping 80% of Americans say that Biden’s immigration policies pose “at least a minor national security threat,” while 47% say Biden’s lax policies present “a critical threat” to national security.
So, Americans clearly demand a return to controlled borders and lawful, careful migration into this country. Though the media charlatans will lie and exaggerate to try to spin propaganda about Trump’s policies, the voters clearly rallied to Trump who made these very policies pillars of his remarkable political comeback.
