Pritzker and other radicals unleash open borders calamity on America’s suburbs

Joe Biden throws open America’s southern border, overtly incentivizing and welcoming 4.9 million illegal migrants to trespass into our country since his inauguration. Simultaneously, Biden totally neuters ICE (Immigration and Customs Enforcement), sending deportation numbers to the lowest levels since 2008.

Consequently, a bull rush of unvetted migrants pours into our country, and the vast majority of the illegal aliens are here to stay. Of course, there is never an excuse for tolerating de-facto open borders. But such migration radicalism particularly enrages working-class Americans right now, given the harsh economic fallout of Biden’s recession and runaway inflation.

While these policy failures represent a national tragedy, the pain is more acute in Democrat ruled jurisdictions like Illinois, where Governor JB Pritzker serves as a willing accomplice in vaporizing America’s border and sovereignty.

Just last week, busloads of illegal migrants started arriving in Chicago, where the leftist Mayor Lori Lightfoot betrayed her own promises and promptly sent the illegals to Chicago’s suburbs.

One such group of 90 Nicaraguans now resides in the La Quinta hotel in Elk Grove Village, Illinois. Local officials have been told that the illegal migrants will be there “indefinitely” as they are housed and fed by the taxpaying citizens of Illinois. Rooms at the hotel typically sell for around $200/night. The mayor of the town, Craig Johnson, lamented about this situation: “I cannot tell you how disappointing it is.”

Elk Grove Village is a middle-class suburb, now forced to deal with an untenable scenario of supporting unscreened foreigners from thousands of miles away. This same sad circumstance plays out all over America as Democrat border radicalism turns communities across the land into border towns.

For example, the small coastal city of Portland, Maine has spent an astounding $40 million on migrants over the last year and a half, as detailed in a recent New York Times story. For a town of only 66,000 citizens, such a financial toll is devastating. But the uninvited migrants stay in pleasant hotels, eat catered meals, and send their children to local public schools…all without paying any taxes at all.

What will be the final tab for Elk Grove Village, Illinois, a town of 32,000 citizens?

J.B. Pritzker cares little about such consequences, since the trust-fund billionaire has long prioritized a radical agenda over the prosperity and security of the citizens of his state. Pritzker arrogantly proclaims Illinois as a so-called “sanctuary state,” meaning a place where illegal migrants can hide in plain sight, including ones with criminal records who represent dangers to the citizens of the Prairie State.

In addition, Pritzker the silver spoon grandee condescendingly disregards the plight of Illinois citizens who can barely afford housing for their own families, much less fund the long-term settlement of illegal migrants. For example, a recent Axios analysis revealed that the Chicago metro area has one of the worst income growth to housing price ratios in America.

Since 2019, Chicago ranks in the bottom quarter of large US metro areas in income growth, with median homebuyer income edging higher by a scant 3% total, well below the national average of more than twice that amount. But simultaneously, home prices for that same period in Chicago surged a staggering 21%. So, in J.B. Pritzker’s Illinois, citizens get economically blasted from both sides, suffering from stagnant wage growth while facing soaring inflation costs, especially for housing.

Given this brutal financial reality, the citizens of Illinois would expect a reasonable state leader to laser focus on improving opportunities for the legal citizens of the state. Instead, radical J.B. Pritzker seeks the approval of CNN bloviators and big-name open-borders donors like George Soros.

But here’s the reality: none of those big shots must deal with the on-the-ground realities of this created migrant crisis. J.B. himself, these oligarch donors, and their cheerleader media fanboys in New York newsrooms – they’re all immune to the consequences of the pain their agenda inflicts. Instead, the good people of Elk Grove Village must grapple with this catastrophe. Time to end this madness.
